Michael Driscoll, CEO & founder

Mike is a serial entrepreneur who has built data platforms in life sciences, online retail, and digital media over the past decade. Michael began his career as a software engineer for the Human Genome Project, and later founded CustomInk.com, an early pioneer in customized apparel. More recently, Michael conceived and led Dataspora, where he remains Chairman, helping deliver data science to telcos, insurance firms, and retail banks. Michael holds an A.B. from Harvard College and a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics from Boston University. He enjoys speaking and writing about big data and analytics.

Dr. Deborah Rieman, Executive Chair

Deb has served for over 30 years in the computer software, networking, and communications industries. Previously, she served as president and CEO of Check Point Software Technologies Incorporated, and held various executive and management positions at Adobe Systems, Sun Microsystems, Xerox Corp., and MITRE Corp. She began her career as Assistant Professor of Mathematics at the University of California, Santa Cruz. Dr. Rieman also serves on the boards of directors of Corning, Inc. and SmartPak, Inc., and has served on several other boards in the technology industry. She was named as one of Time Magazine’s “50 Cyber-Elite”, Working Woman magazine’s “Top Ten Women in Technology”, and one of the “Top 25 Women on the Web” by SF WoW.

Roger Ehrenberg, Managing Partner of IA Ventures

Roger Ehrenberg is the founder and Managing Partner of IA Ventures, a seed-stage venture capital firm investing in companies that create competitive advantage through data. Roger currently sits on the boards of DataSift, MetamarketsRecorded FutureSimple, The Trade Desk, and Twice, and is a Board observer of MemSQL and SavingStar. Formerly, he served on the boards of Buddy Media, Global Bay Mobile Technologies, Magnetic and Selerity.

Prior to forming IA Ventures, Roger was an active angel investor through IA Capital Partners, a seed-stage investment firm focused on digital media and financial technology. From 2004 to 2009, Roger seeded 40 companies, including BitlyBuddy Media (acquired by Salesforce), Clickable (acquired by Syncapse), Invite Media (acquired by Google), Magnetic, TheLadders, TubeMogul, and TweetDeck (acquired by Twitter).

Earlier in his career, Roger served as President and CEO of DB Advisors, Deutsche Bank's internal hedge fund trading platform. Before DB Advisors, Roger was Global Co-head of Deutsche Bank's Strategic Equity Transactions Group. As an Investment Banker and Managing Director at Citibank, Roger held a variety of roles in the Global Derivatives, Capital Markets, Mergers & Acquisitions and Capital Structuring groups.

Roger holds an MBA in Finance, Accounting and Management from Columbia Business School and a BBA in Finance, Economics and Organizational Psychology from the University of Michigan.

Jeff Epstein, EIR at Bessemer Venture Partners

Jeff is an Executive-In-Residence at Bessemer Venture Partners and a Senior Advisor at Oak Hill Capital Partners. Jeff is the former Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Oracle. Prior to joining Oracle, Epstein served as CFO of several public and private companies, including DoubleClick (sold to Google), King World Productions (sold to CBS) and Nielsen’s Media Measurement and Information Group. He serves on the Boards of Directors of Priceline.com, Shutterstock, the Audit and Compliance Committee of the Stanford University Hospital, and the Management Board of Stanford’s Graduate School of Business. Jeff holds an MBA from Stanford, where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar, and a BA from Yale, where he graduated summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa.

Mike Kourey

Mike Kourey is a partner at Khosla Ventures, where he lends venture assistance and strategic advice to a broad array of portfolio companies.  He is currently a board member of Riverbed Technology, Aruba Networks, AliveCor, Climate Corp., Metamarkets, Solum, Transonic, and Varentec.   Mike is also a board observer at eASIC and on the advisory boards of TraceVector and the University of California, Davis Graduate School of Management.

Previously, Mike was CFO and board member at Polycom, where he joined pre-financing and drove Polycom’s revenue growth from a standing start to $1.5B.

Mike holds a B.S. from the University of California, Davis and an M.B.A from Santa Clara University.
